Today Alex Anwandter is finally giving his fans a sneak peek of Amiga, his upcoming LP, by releasing “Siempre es viernes en mi corazón,” the first single. Alex told Rictus he would be doing all this in an interview a few months back, and it appears he’s sticking to his plan.
“Siempre es viernes en mi corazón,” which Billboard says was inspired by the tragic death of Daniel Zamudio, a teen who passed away after being attacked by a group of homophobic men — sorry to keep plugging it, but Alex spoke of this in the Rictus interview — falls in line with Alex’s signature electropop flair.

Amiga will be released on April 8 through Nacional Records. In the meantime, you should brush up on Anwandter’s previous work, which is available on Spotify in its entirety.
